Iran’s President Warns Against Internal Conflicts, Urges Unity in Face of Foreign Threats

Tehran, Iran – Iran’s President has issued a strong message, warning against internal divisions over trivial issues, emphasizing that the nation must not fall into the traps set by external adversaries. His remarks came during a commemoration ceremony for the National Space Technology Day.

In his speech, Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, highlighted the need for unity and collective effort in overcoming national challenges. “Our enemies are waiting for internal disputes to distract us from more pressing matters,” Pezeshkian said, stressing the importance of avoiding the internal conflicts that some might seek to exploit.

The Legacy of Imam Hussein and the Role of Knowledge in Iran’s Defense

Pezeshkian reflected on the historical and spiritual legacy of Imam Hussein (AS), citing the tragic stand in Karbala as a source of inspiration for defending Iran’s sovereignty. “The defense of our nation has been made possible by the legacy of Imam Hussein (AS), and we continue to draw strength from his sacrifice,” he remarked.

Drawing from Islamic history, Pezeshkian recounted the dialogue between the angels and God over the creation of humans. Referring to a Quranic story where the angels questioned God’s decision to place a human on earth, God responded, “I know what you do not.” This moment, Pezeshkian noted, signifies the value of knowledge and awareness, rather than mere worship, as the foundation of human dignity. “It is knowledge that made humanity worthy of the angels’ respect,” he asserted.

Science and Technology: The Pillars of National Defense

Pezeshkian praised the role of Iran’s scientists and engineers, particularly in the defense sector, noting their achievements during the Iran-Iraq war. He recalled how, despite facing an embargo, Iranian innovators were able to develop missiles and defend the nation from external aggression. “Through their knowledge, they ensured that Iraq’s advances were halted and our sovereignty was preserved,” he said.

He emphasized the importance of fostering knowledge and innovation for future generations. “The blood and effort of those who stood up to protect our land, including the intellectuals and scientists, are more valuable than anything. We owe them our freedom and security,” he added.

The Future of Iran: Knowledge, Unity, and National Resilience

Pezeshkian argued that only those with both the knowledge and the conviction to serve their country can steer Iran through its current crises. He expressed optimism that the country’s youth, imbued with the spirit of knowledge and dedication to their homeland, would overcome the challenges ahead. “Those who remain loyal to the nation’s history and its people will rise above the difficulties,” he affirmed.

As for the future, Pezeshkian encouraged collective efforts for national advancement. “If we unite, despite our differences, and focus on solving the problems of our country, Iran will reach a position where enemies will not dare to challenge us,” he said. “The power of knowledge, collaboration, and a commitment to progress will ensure that Iran remains strong and independent.”

    A Call for National Unity

The President also recalled the hardships faced during the Iran-Iraq war, particularly the bombing and missile attacks on Iranian cities. He compared this period to the current situation, drawing parallels with modern-day atrocities, such as Israel’s actions in Gaza, and questioning the purpose of science if it is used to harm rather than uplift humanity. “Is science meant to bury people alive?” he asked, condemning the use of technology for violence.

Pezeshkian’s message was clear: “Our enemies are waiting for internal conflicts. It is crucial that we do not fall into their trap.” He also pledged continued government support for the nation’s space technology and defense industries, highlighting the achievements of the country’s scientists and engineers in the aerospace sector.

    Conclusion

In closing, Pezeshkian urged the country to honor its intellectuals and innovators, noting that every individual has the potential to contribute to the nation’s progress. He wished health and success to Iran’s young scientists and creative minds, concluding with a heartfelt prayer for the country’s continued strength and dignity.
